Dr. Nastaran Foyouzi is a board-certified subspecialist in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Medical Genetics by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG). Dr. Foyouzi completed her internship in OBGYN at Yale University. She completed her residency at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at UCSF. After graduating from her fellowship training, Dr. Foyouzi was appointed to the faculty of the University of Michigan as a WRHR Scholar (NIH funded scholarship).
Dr. Foyouzi’s professional background has prepared her extensively to help couples make their dream of parenthood a reality. She thrives on solving the complex genetics inherent to reproductive failure and considers the results of her efforts – healthy children – the greatest reward of her work. Dr. Foyouzi is passionate about helping women understand their basic fertility potential, including the role that genetics may play in causing infertility and pregnancy loss, and providing solutions to these problems. She also has a special interest in fertility preservation, Preimplantation genetic testing for HLA typing or for families with an affected child with a genetic disease and embryo selection for people who are at risk for having affected child to a genetic disease or mitochondrial disease. Her goal is to help every patient to make smart, informed, and individualized decisions about their options for planning a family. Dr. Foyouzi speaks English and Farsi.

I've been having such a difficult time conceiving for years, and it's a heart-breaking experience. Dr. Foyouzi will order lots of testing and genetic screening, I am looking forward to getting answers!

Dr. Nastaran Foyouzi-Yousefi was amazing. She was caring and very understanding of my situation. She was knowledgeable and professional. She provided a number of suggestions and a treatment plan that I believe will help me as I was never given anything like this before. She made me feel like I was being heard and I didn't feel like she was just going through the motions. I would recommend this doctor to anyone struggling with trying to get pregnant. The Ovum staff was amazing as well and very responsive whenever I had questions.

I have been looking for the right fertility specialist for many months to help me with my desire to grow a family. Dr. Foyouzi was amazing! She alleviated many of my concerns and best of all gave me so much hope! My treatment plan was clear and I am now on my way to feeling much more hopeful about our families future!
