As your physician, you can expect me to not only be available to answer your questions, but also to provide the highest quality and most advanced orthopedic care. This includes arthroscopic and minimally-invasive techniques that facilitate an expedited recovery. Dr. Faulkner graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT, where he was born and raised. He attended the University Of Utah School Of Medicine and was inducted into the AOA honors society. He went on to complete his orthopedic training at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI. Most recently, Dr. Faulkner received specialized training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He has experience working with athletes from all levels including high school, college, and professional sports. Throughout his career, Dr. Faulkner has been actively involved in research and education. He has authored several original articles and book chapters, including a recent chapter on shoulder instability. His work to demonstrate a technique for grafting complex rotator cuff tears will be featured at the national meeting for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2015. He is an active member of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. His primary interests include sports medicine, arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including fractures and arthritis of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Faulkner is an avid fly fisherman and skier. He and his wife, Jacey, particularly enjoy spending time exploring the outdoors with their two children.
