Dr. Ruttig and his staff are exemplary and I will never go anywhere else ever agin for my eye care. Ease of getting an appointment was quick, the staff and check in process are super efficient, and the exam is thorough, careful, and well explained. His assistants did several tests, and dr Ruttig made a pressure test after dilating with several eye drops. We talked about catarac surgery. Dr. Ruttig would like me to come back to day 1/31/2013 for a follow up field test. In general I am satisfied with the yesterday visit.

Dr. Ruttig has been a physician for over 10 years. He graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 2000 earning his BS and MD degrees in 6 years through an accelerated program. He did his internship in internal medicine while serving in the United States Navy and worked as a general medical officer in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Later, Dr. Ruttig went on to become a Naval Flight Surgeon, serving in Corpus Christi, Texas. He completed ophthalmology residency training at the world-renowned Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he was exposed to a wide-range of ophthalmological disorders. He specializes in advanced cataract surgical techniques, diabetic exams, the management of dry eye syndrome, and laser treatments in the management of glaucoma. He has also received LASIK-hansotome and LASIK-Visx Laser certification. Dr. Ruttig is married to wife, Maria and is father to children, Sarah and Alex. He is fluent in Spanish and holds a private pilot license.
