I came to see Dr. Carmical after thoroughly viewing all the reviews (since a previous ENT I found via zocdoc was not very good). He truly cares about his patients, asks adequate amount of questions, takes detailed notes, explains in a language you can understand. Martha (receptionist) is also a pleasure to work with -- she calls you the day before to confirm the appt, and is very accommodating with scheduling. Wait time is very reasonable, too. Space is a bit small and equipments are a bit outdated, but I would still visit Dr. Carmical over any other ENT.

Mr. Carmical was really impatient with me and didn't let me finish my sentences. He was dismissive of my questions, intimidating, and made me feel like my issues were entirely unimportant. He told me I needed blood work done by my primary care doctor. When I went to see my primary care doctor, he took one look at my ear and told me I had an infection (which Dr. Carmical didn't notice). He also told me Dr. Carmical could have taken care of the blood work himself instead of sending me elsewhere. I will never return to this doctor again, and am shocked at his good reviews.

Dr. Carmical is a knowledgeable, intelligent professional. Extremely thorough. Using ZOCDOC was easy. Forms filled out in advance. Personable, intelligent greeting and followup by his microbiologist accomplice, who prefers not to be called receptionist. I have never been called before to confirm the receipt of a referral. Do visit Dr. Carmical for any ENT problem. You will be glad you did. Convenient garage right next door.

First of all, Martha, the receptionist was very warm and pleasant. I was seen earlier than my scheduled appointment. Dr. Carmical was very professional and caring. He immediately remedied my ear problem which I was worried about and I left his office feeling 100% better. I definitely will refer Dr. Carmical to my family & friends!

I would hope sharing discomfort with my doctor would be natural and an experience in which the doctor would understand my symptoms and associate them to some causes and cures. However, my sharing my reasons of why I scheduled an appointment with Carmical was the most uncomfortable experience Ive ever had in a medical facility. He was mocking and being unkind to my description of my ails and it was just so completely frustrating and unproductive. Never again.

Dr. Carnival was very patient and informative. I was seen in about 5 minutes or less after filling out the new patient paperwork. It was great and he was able to find out right away what was causing my ear pain.

Really great experience- I was seen right away and he spent over 30 minutes with me asking thorough questions to get to the root of my issue- which is basically unheard of these days. It was nice to actually get some personal attention rather than just getting another prescription for antibiotics as most doctors would do. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be back.

The doctor was wonderful. He noticed a problem and performed a procedure to fix it right away whereas most doctors would make you come back another day. He was extremely personable and kept up an interesting stream of small talk while he worked which was a welcome distraction from the slight discomfort caused by the procedure.

Dr. Carmical is the best doctor I have seen in New York. I will be the first to say that I am a bit of a needy patient and Dr. Carmical is always so patient. He personally returns my calls and is very thorough in his diagnosis. I also really appreciate his very calm and kind bedside manner. This is so hard to find in NYC! He is superb! His office receptionist/assistant Martha is also wonderful. She is very caring and helpful. I would highly highly recommend Dr.Carmical.

Neville is an amazing doctor - he is willing to take the time to get to the bottom of whatever ails his patients, he conducted a thorough exam on me after I showed up with a longstanding sinus conditions that another practitioner would have just prescribed an antibiotic on and moved on, and spent time explaining to me steps I can take to further improve my recovery. All in all, he is one of the best doctors I've been to. You'll see...

I had never seen an ENT nor knew I had a problem. A chronic sore throat led me to Dr. Carmical, who diagnosed me with silent reflux. I passed the info on to my mother, who was suffering from post nasal drip for months. She then realized she might have the same condition, saw her Dr., and was diagnosed as well. Dr. Carmical fixed 2 patients in 1 visit!

I have been a patient of Dr. Carmical since 1989. He has my highest recommendation. In my experience Dr. Carmical is insightful & patient, & answered my questions fully. He has a good knowledge of the singing voice & it's requirements. Over the years I have recommended him to several people. I am very happy to add that when I needed to see him urgently, he always fit me into his schedule on short notice. I trust him.

Very professional & helpful; had a long term sinus infection & the dr. did all the appropriate tests & prescribed antibiotics, nasal steroid, nasal rinse. I have seen this doctor for many years (15-20 yrs) & have always felt he was an excellent dr.
