Nicki Thorne is an experienced family nurse practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in family medicine for the past four years and has been a registered nurse for sixteen years. She has a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on Nurse Administration/Leadership from Old Dominion University and a Post-Master’s Certificate from Vanderbilt University as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno to obtain her Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She a passion for teaching others about health and wellness and incorporate functional/integrative medicine with each patient interaction. She seeks to empower her patients to live their best life. Outside of the office, Nicki enjoys exploring the Tahoe Basin hiking, camping, and skiing with her family.

This was a nightmare of an experience. They don’t tell you that telehealth is not deemed a real provider so no pharmacy will fill your prescription and then they want you to call mom and pop pharmacies that will. Horrible. 0 stars if I could

If looking for refills just know that they misinform and don’t give correct information. I was told once I stopped taking my sleep medication that I wouldn’t have an issue getting refills with them for my ADHD medication. I stopped my medication cold turkey for almost a month to be told by another provider that she was unsure of how long you have to be off the medication. To tell me it has to be 3 months. Waste of my time, waste of my energy. These providers don’t care about your mental health. And they wonder why there’s so much people who have messed up lives. I just went through a hurricane, have children, stressful job, etc. And I am already on the medication. They weren’t useful for me. I’m going to delete my account.

She was extremely kind and paid attention to every single detail, giving me solutions and alternative treatments while still addressing my current one. Dr. Thorne was super nice and very helpful. She listened to all of my issues and then gave her input and suggestions. It felt very collaborative. I had never done a video appointment before, so didn't know what to expect. I'll probably never go back to an actual office for checkups and prescription refills after this experience. If you're looking for a process that won't take as much time out of your day, while still getting extra careful care, I definitely suggest checking this out. The have an easy to use app, too.
