I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist, with a sub-specialty in Women’s Mental Health.
I have experience treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders including depression,Dr Nicola Gray anxiety disorders, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia. I specialize in pharmacotherapy during pregnancy and the postpartum period and preconception counseling, In preconception counseling, we discuss the risks and benefits, along with possible alternatives, of using psychotropic medications during and after pregnancy. I tailor my treatment to each patient’s individual needs.
I have been trained in psychodynamic, insight-oriented, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral and supportive psychotherapies, which provides me with the ability to work well with many patients, families and other providers.
My goal is to provide non-judgmental, compassionate, evidence based treatment to adults. I believe that psychoeducation plays a huge role in minimizing the stigma surrounding mental illness. Mental illness is real and the stigma associated with it often prevents individuals from seeking care that could significantly improve the quality of their lives and relationships.
