Dr Harkin was wonderful. I went to her after seeing another cardiologist who I liked, but didn't feel like he explained things to me well enough and left with very little answers. Dr Harkin really takes her time to explain things in a way you can understand them, and you don't leave her office feeling like you're no better than when you went in. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Nicole Harkin is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Clinical Lipidology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography, and brings extensive experience to her new role at Manhattan Cardiovascular Associates.
She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of acute symptoms, as well as her true passion - partnering with patients to help them feel their best and prevent and reverse chronic disease with lifestyle modification.
Dr. Harkin received her medical degree from Boston University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and fellowship in Cardiology at New York University, where she is now a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. She is a proud member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the National Lipid Association.

This office is poorly run and I don’t recommend it to anyone. Dr Harkin was late and I had to wait for about one hour after my scheduled appointment time. Since I couldn’t stay much longer after my consultation, I had to come back a second time for exams and pay for an additional insurance co-pay; none of this would have happened if my appointment was on time. Furthermore, it’s been over a month and Dr Harkin’s office has not yet submitted a claim with my insurance; I don’t like surprise charges later in the future and don’t appreciate the delay. It’s been extremely hard to get in touch with the billing department and after several calls that went to voicemail I was finally able to talk to someone who said they were in the process of “changing billing systems”. Overall very unpleasant experience and a poorly run office.

This was my first visit with Dr. Harkin. I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable and she spent ample amount of time to answer all of my questions. I have been seeing another cardiologist for years and have expressed concerns. Dr. Harkin immediately expressed those concerns and has created a plan going forward.
The office itself/ waiting area is a bit chaotic, but other than that--very good experience and definitely going back!

Dr Harkin is amazing! I have a chronic condition so have spent a lot of time with cardiologists and she is easily top 3. So professional but engaging, realistic but didn’t make me nervous. Overall highly recommend!

Dr. Harkin took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything in detail, and was clear about the next steps to take. The Dr was lovely, however I was told I would need a follow up appointment for more testing. When I checked out at the desk I was told the office would contact me for my next appointment (which I thought was very strange) because they had to make sure it was covered by my insurance. What if I wanted to pay for it myself? Needless to say they never contacted me. Something didn’t feel right about the place.

I had a great experience with Dr. Harkin and her staff. I got stuck in NY traffic and called to say I might be 10 minutes late, but actually got there just a few minutes late. They were able to accommodate me. The nurse who did my vitals, etc was lovely and efficient. Dr. Harkin answered all my questions and helped me understand all the options for my condition. I will definitely be going back to see her.
