amazing! as someone who doesn’t typically go to male physicians , i loved my experience. he balanced joking to make me more comfortable , with being serious about health, and with discussing everything needing to be discussed. he’s very headstrong about tackling what needs to be paid attention to , making it known that your health is of high importance to him.
10/10 !

Dr. Obinna Oriaku received his board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in September 1999. He began his medical education at the University of Benin, Nigeria. An outstanding academic record earned him a scholarship which enabled him to complete part of his medical education at the University of Sheffield, England. He then proceeded to work for several years in Trinidad and Tobago as a medical officer, gaining valuable, wide ranging experience in general internal medicine & surgery.
He received his residency training at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City. He has been practicing in the Charlotte area since 2000. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the North Carolina Medical Society.
Dr. Oriaku is married to Ngozi Oriaku. They have three sons, Obi jr., Ugo & Ikenna.

Dr Oriaku is always a pleasure. He was my mom's Dr and I felt comfortable enough with him being my Dr as well.

My first appointment was last week and I spent 2.5 hours in there total before I told them I had a speaking engagement to be at and left without finishing my visit. I was quoted 2 test before the dr realized I had no insurance and was paying cash. I was prescribed some medication that did not work along with Zoloft for anxiety. I scheduled another appointment for yesterday. When I got there I was saw by a different dr that had no clue of what had went on last week. The nurse assistant came in the room and told me I had to pay her cash right there in the room to get a blood test done. It felt weird giving up money in a patient room. The whole experience was unprofessional and I would not recommend it again. Also I had to pay cash both visits up front before seeing the dr. I’m used to paying on the way out. Once again very unprofessional

Waited for over 2 hours, nurses were nice but couldn't really tell me when I was going to seen. Dr didn't examine me and when I told him the prescription I used to take he said he wouldn't prescribe it to me. The fact that he didn't even check my breathing or examine me though is by far the most worry-some.

Wait time is very, verrry long here. Be prepared to wait even if you arrive early. Once they call you in the back, you will still be waiting for excessive amounts of time. Because of this & the way they run the front office - (they are very Aggressive about payment before you get to see the doctor) - this is the reason I will not return!

Went through multiple test in order to come to a conclusion of which I informed doctor of at the beginning of the appointment. Although this was not the reason for such a terrible review. I was in pain when I got there and even worse pain when I left. I was told prescription would be ready upon arriving at my local pharmacy. Once arriving no prescription had been called or placed and even on today two days later nothing has been placed! I received a call the night of the appointment after calling the after hours number from the doctor saying he was currently at a function and had simply forgot in the most nonchalant manner. To sum it all up I would not use this Doctor ever again and when giving recommendations I will tell any and everyone to steer clear of his practice. Currently searching for someone more reliable and competent.

My first and last time visiting this office. All I can say is wow and not in a good way in the least. My appointment was 4pm and I filled out paperwork online prior to arrival for efficiency. I didn't get brought back until 5pm. 530pm is when the Doctor comes in and I'm out by 610pm. This was a general consultation along with prescription filling. Horrible and wouldn't recommend this place or Doctor.

I found Dr. Oriaku to be quite professional and placed me at ease during my first visit to his office. He conversed with me easily which I was not accustom to with my previous doctor. I was surprised at the amount of time he provided and I look forward to his care going forward.

I made an appointment with Dr. Oriaku for a very simple ailment. From the moment he came in, he was very friendly, professional and made me feel like at home. Initial diagnosis took no longer than 10 mins and then the bio-matter collection for lab work took about 20-30 mins. He came back after lab results came in and finished up with me.
All the nurses there were also very friendly and courteous. They kept me updated on the status of everything.
Initially, I didn't want to go to this clinic because it is located in a not so good part of Charlotte (just not good, not high crime). I will recommend him anytime after my visit.

LAZY office. Told me they can't prescribe me what I need because that would require follow-ups. When someone is in need a doctor should assist, not push them away because they would have to come back once every 3 months. Don't waste your time.

Please, do not waste your time going to this doctor!!! He claims he can help with arthritis.... That was a lie!!!! He did not even examine me! He sat in the room an watched me cry in terrible pain for 15 mins while he told me what he could not do!!!! I never even got on the exam table!! What a waste of time, but I bet he will bill my insurance.....

In all my years going to new Doctors; this group was by far one of the BEST! The girls at the front were so kind and helpful and the PA I saw was warm and totally on point with what I needed. The techs were just as great! Total concern and professionalism. I left feeling like I really had my issues addressed and that I was in great hands. I would recommend this office to everyone.
