This was NOT a Dermatologist! ZocDoc had her listed as a Dermatologist in my area, once I checked in they mentioned this happens a lot. Unacceptable! Waste of everyones time!

I visited Paige Anderson through ZocDoc, believing she was an in-network provider for my Anthem Prudent Buyer PPO, as indicated on ZocDoc and confirmed by her office staff. The visit was usual for any annual physical. However, post-visit billing issues arose; despite a insurance specified copay—which I was assured covered my obligations—I received a hefty bill for services expected to be covered by insurance. Both ZocDoc and the doctor's office inaccurately represented her in-network status, leading to unexpected charges. This incident calls into question the reliability of insurance information provided, making me cautious about future use of ZocDoc and never visiting her office.

Most painful pelvic exam I've ever had. Typically my past exams have felt uncomfortable but not painful to this level. The examiner did not respond when I was clearly in pain. Chalked it off to me being on my period. The assistant in the room was more attentive and sympathetic but the entire experience felt quite rushed and like I wasn't given enough space to ask some lingering questions.
I also wasn't given proper instructions about what to do with the referral I was given, simply highlighted an address and number on the slip and was sent on my way. In addition to this, the front of house staff felt impersonal and not very welcoming. The facility itself was nice and clean.

I'm a Board Certified Patient Advocate and have been working with (and assessing) physicians for almost a decade. I book with PAs and NPs if I can because their knowledge is on par with MDs, their bedside manner is consistently excellent, and their approach is always collaborative. I recently moved so Paige is the first physician I've seen in Oakland and she did not disappoint.
I went in for a consult on my female hair loss, something that I've been nervous to treat for a while. Unlike other PCPs I've seen, Paige was kind, attentive, and unusually knowledgeable on the topic. She looked into meds I asked about, and she even informed me of and referred me to another great resource in the area.
I did a blood draw afterwards and the MA, Amber, was gentle, quick, and even knew about my insurance coverage off the top of her head. She was training a new MA as well (I missed her name unfortunately), and she was also sharp as a tack and super enthusiastic.

She was so nice, caring, and thorough. I almost exclusively see NP’s and PA’s because I find them to be less rushed and more available than MD’s, and Paige was no exception. Will definitely see her again next time.
