With more than 25 years of experience as a mental health and management professional, Dr. Straker serves individuals and organizations who want to establish productive environments for peak performance. In her work with individuals and organizations, she has encountered many people who are struggling to deal with “caregiving” for their parents and/or older relatives while continuing to be productive at work or in the rest of their lives. She is particularly sensitive to the emotional and physical toll this situation can have on family members.
She is passionate about helping others to have full lives even while they are giving to others. She coaches those who are struggling to gain a positive and personally satisfying perspective about this process. In addition, Dr. Straker is interviewing others who have been caregiving and ultimately will write about the topic.
