I am a board-certified psychiatrist with many years experience working with adults of all ages and adolescents.
I provide private office-based services as well as hospital-based consultations at Doylestown Hospital, where I currently serve as Psychiatry Department Director.
My approach is comprehensive and derives from my considerable experience in a variety of treatment settings and with a wide range of conditions. My focus is on taking sufficient time and utilizing an empathic and nonjudgemental approach in order to facilitate an individual's ability to deeply explore the roots of his/her difficulties as well as to build on existing strengths. My work is informed by various perspectives - biological, psychodynamic-developmental, cognitive-behavioral, systems-oriented, etc. Treatment-wise, I tend to tailor my interventions to the individual or individuals, attending to their particular circumstances and interests. I have a mix of cases ranging from those where I am primarily providing diagnostic and psychopharmacologic services to those in which I'm primarily a psychotherapist.
