Dr. Kliger is wonderful. She helps the whole family that is affected by mental illness, not just the one with the illness. She gives concrete solutions to everyday problems that come with living with someone with bipolar disorder. She is so smart, intuitive, and an out-of-the-box, creative thinker. She has helped our family's life tremendously!

Dr. Paula Kliger is founder and president of PsychAssets. As an experienced psychologist, she is highly responsive to the emotional and psychological concerns of individuals, families and groups that come from diverse histories and backgrounds. Realizing the serious investment one can make in pursuing mental health services, she is committed to working with anyone who is devoted to realize change and growth in their life. In turn, she does everything she can to help with reimbursement for her psychological services, including for evaluations and psychotherapy.
Dr. Kliger received her PhD degree from the scientist-practitioner acclaimed Wayne State University clinical psychology program in Detroit, MI, graduated from Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute as a psychoanalyst and was Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Patients visit her for a wide range of conditions such as anxiety and mood disorders (like bipolar disorder and major depression, and postpartum depression), attachment, trauma, and other significant adjustment disorders. She also specializes in working with leaders and people in high-stress occupations (teachers, police and firefighters, and professionals in business, healthcare and law).

Given Dr. Kliger's extensive experience as a couple's counselor, she sets herself apart in individual treatment by providing her analysis (and honestly speaking more than most therapists do) in a way that has been life - changing for me.
