Switched to Dr. McKenzie after a negative experience with another OB/GYN office in the area. Dr. McKenzie herself was intelligent and friendly and her staff was competent and helpful. I will definitely be going back to this practice!

I filled out forms twice: once on ZocDoc and a second set of forms when I arrived at the office. The front desk staff explained that they had no access to the information I had already provided. I then sat and waited for about an hour to be taken to an examination room. The nurse or nurse's aide asked me the same questions I had already answered twice. I waited another 45 minutes, listening to the office music: Christian gospel, which did not seem welcoming to non-Christian patients. I saw the doctor briefly and explained that the practice was probably not a good fit for me because of the wait, the duplicate information requested, and the non-welcoming music. I left and do not intended to return to the practice.

Dr. McKenzie is professional and easy to talk to and work with, but other staff members in this office are very hit-and-miss. Both of my appointments were rescheduled by the doctor's office, one at the last minute. They emailed me instead of canceling through ZocDoc, which I felt was a dishonest representation of consistent service.

Doctor McKenzie was wonderful however it took over an hour to get to the examination room and a half an hour to be seen. Overall it was a two and half hour experience which is not acceptable.

Although the appointment itself was satisfactory (Dr. McKenzie was friendly and seemed knowledgable - although she was not nearly as thorough as other doctors I have seen), it was after the appointment that it became a nightmare. I got a HUGE bill from the lab for what should be a yearly preventative care appointment (and this may be the lab;s coding problem) but I called multiple times, emailed and never heard anything regarding my inquiry. I finally got ahold of the office manager, and once on the phone she was helpful, but it shouldn't take 2 MONTHS after my appointment to get answers.
But that's only one aspect - I also never received my results! After calling and emailing multiple times once again, they emailed me over my lab results (also 2 months later) - but they were only partially complete. The next thing I know, I am getting a call from the secretary telling me that I need to come in for a follow up with no explanation as to why. Sorry, but I'm not going to take time off from work, without having at least a clue as to why. Meanwhile, I never talked to the doctor on the phone - only the secretary. I've been to 4 other GYNs in my life and they ALL called personally to keep me updated and NEVER asked me to come in without telling me why! Terrible.

Dr. McKenzie is great but her office is awful. I've been there a few times and I've had problems with scheduling every time. I am rarely seen on time. One time they didn't take me for an hour after my appointment time and then I waited to be seen by the doctor for almost half an hour.

Nurse called me about 3 weeks after my appointment. Left message and time to call her back which I did but no one who could speak to me. Called back again next three days and left messages and still NO response from office. It's been one week and nurse/office still has not returned any of my calls/messages. Extremely frustrating to be kept waiting - still!!

The visit with Dr. McKenzie was great. She was attentive and didn't rush through the visit. The nursing staff and lab technician, on the other hand, seemed to be very new and unorganized, as if they were unsure about what to do.
