About Dr. Noah Koon

Noah was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia, where he received degrees in Japanese Language and Literature, Cellular Biology, and History. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Augusta University and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Following graduation, Noah spent several years living and teaching 7th grade in Japan.
Noah’s passion for women’s health extends beyond the clinic into policy and advocacy. Previously, he worked with Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) organizations on broad-reaching policy and educational initiatives. Dr. Koon's clinical interests include family planning, LGBTQ+ health, chronic pelvic pain, high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive & robotic surgery.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys cycling, hiking, spending time with his loved ones, and supporting Southampton FC (soccer).

DO NOT see this doctor. To be fair, I did show up 15 mins late due to very bad traffic. But I was apologetic and patient when they refused to even allow me to reschedule before they took the entire LONG line of people after me and after I had already waited quite some time for the couple ahead of me (contributing to me lateness). After I waited another 10 minutes for them to check in and check out several other patients, they informed me that it had been the doctor who had insisted he could not see me. One front desk person was very kind, but the other was extremely rude and aggressive. This doctor had a ton of good reviews and I was hoping for a good experience, but instead I found him to be totally not understanding. I wouldn’t trust these people with my body nor my baby’s.

AMAZING! I got the Paragard IUD. He offers medication for the night before and morning of to soften your cervix and make it less painful, as well as numbing. You don’t even have to ask, he offers it to you. He explained everything so so well and thoroughly, and made it known that he is extremely passionate about informed, caring women’s health. The pain was not that bad AT ALL compared to every other experience I’ve heard of, and it would have been even less had I taken the medication he offers. I am the only one out of everyone I know who can say I had a positive IUD experience, PLEEEEASE go to this man!

I went in to discuss fertility and create a plan, and Dr. Koon was wonderful throughout the process. He took the time to sit down with me and my husband, talk through our options, explain what tests we should take, and even factored in that my job and insurance would be changing soon — making sure I could get in quickly for the tests I needed.
He personally followed up with a phone call, remembered details about both me and my husband, and walked me through the next steps in a thoughtful and reassuring way.
My husband also pointed out something that really resonated with me: as a male OB/GYN, Dr. Koon is aware that many patients may come in with a preference for female doctors. Because of that, he seems to hold himself to an even higher standard — attentive, careful, and dedicated to making sure his patients feel completely comfortable and well cared for. If you’ve ever been hesitant, I can honestly say Dr. Koon goes above and beyond.

Found Dr. Noah after another office failed to pre run my insurance and have me go to two different offices in one day to learn they don’t accept my insurance. Dr. Noah Koon provided excellent care. As a Trans person going to the OBGYN can be daunting and even scary, but Noah was immediately very friendly, kind, accepting and made me feel comfortable right away. He has experience caring for trans individuals and it was a breath of fresh air to have a medical professional, especially a gyno, be so educated and aware of how to medically care for a trans person. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to see a gyno, especially those that identify as LGBTQIA+.

had an appointment with Dr. Koon and while they were professional and attentive, I found that the initial lack of inquiry about my sexual orientation made the visit a bit awkward. I had to inform them that I am a lesbian and, therefore, did not require birth control or condoms. It would have been helpful if the initial questions or patient history included an option to discuss sexual orientation, as this could have streamlined the conversation and made me feel more comfortable. Despite this, the gynecologist addressed my concerns and questions well once the information was shared. I would recommend them for their expertise, but suggest improving their approach to inclusive patient care.

I don’t want to gate keep Dr. Koon but I also don’t want him to become too popular…. He is a true gem. He spent all the time needed to answer my questions, made me feel safe and heard, and he even brought up my rare condition, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, one that most doctors have never heard of, and shared with me information on my specific needs with this condition. Additionally, he was really funny which made a nerve wracking appointment very easy. 10/10 can’t wait to start my family planning journey with this whole practice!

Dr. Koon, the medical and administrative staff were friendly and informative. I am out of network so I had to self pay, which I knew going in to the appointment, but it wasn't outrageously priced.
Typically I don't see male doctors, I just prefer females, but I will definitely be going back to him!
