Dr. Pauline Clansy is a licensed psychologist based in Houston, TX. Dr. Clansy obtained her doctorate in psychology from Ball State University. She completed her internship at Michael E. DeBakey Veteran Affairs Hospital and a residency at Houston Independent School District. She also obtained her master’s degree from Boston University and holds a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University.
Dr. Clansy is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Texas Psychological Association, the Houston Psychological Association, and the Houston Association of Black Psychologists. Patients see Dr. Clansy for a variety of reasons, including psychotherapy, depression, alcoholism, and anger management.
Dr. Clansy previously served as the manager of psychological services department at Houston Independent School District for 20 years. She also worked as a clinical supervisor at Germany Community Drug Alcohol Center and as a education services officer at the department of defense in Darmstadt, Germany.

She made me feel quite anxious. She asked the same questions over and over as if she forgot. even my age was asked multiple times. She focused on minor details that didn't really play into the topic and made very little eye contact. It felt more like an interrogation rather than an evaluation.

It seemed as if she was drifting off as I was talking to her. I gave her a chance a scheduled another appointment, but they canceled and never called to reschedule so I found another therapist which I love!

At first she came off a little abrasive and I almost wanted to just leave, but as we continued with the session I felt a little more comfortable with her and assumed she is just a straight and to the point, let's get this over-with type of person. What was odd was after spending over an hour doing the intake assessment, I never heard back from the office regarding a follow-up and I had to contact them months later to basically ask what was up.

my son has been getting a lot of positive results since we have been coming. As a parent I also have been learning different and positives ways to help my child with whatever it is he's going through. It's a struggle but as long as he knows he have the help he'll be just fine.
