What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative and supportive experience. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, without pressure or judgment. My style is warm, grounded, and practical—I balance listening and validating with helping you find clarity and direction. I often incorporate art therapy as an option, which can be especially helpful if you have difficulty putting your thoughts into words or feel stuck in repetitive thinking patterns. You do not need to be artistic to benefit from this process. Clients can expect to leave sessions with a better understanding of themselves, along with tools they can use outside of therapy to manage anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, we focus on understanding what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to change or improve. I’ll ask questions to get a clear picture of your experiences, challenges, and goals, while also making sure you feel comfortable and supported. Ongoing sessions are tailored to your needs. We may use a mix of conversation, reflection, and (if you’re open to it) art-based exercises to explore patterns, process emotions, and build new coping strategies. Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing space for both immediate concerns and long-term growth. Together, we focus on helping you feel less overwhelmed, more grounded, and more confident in navigating your daily life.
