Peter L. Kopelson, M.D. grew up in New York City and in Beverly Hills, California and attended Beverly Hills High School. He completed his undergraduate training at Columbia University where he majored in philosophy and concentrated on his premedical courses. He was accepted into New York University School of Medicine where he obtained his Medical Doctor degree. He remained at N.Y.U. School of Medicine for his internship in Internal Medicine, spending much of his time at Bellevue Hospital. He then moved back to the west coast to study dermatology and dermatological surgery. At University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine, Dr. Kopelson completed his dermatology residency and served as chief dermatology resident.
Dr. Kopelson is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, specializing in cosmetic procedures and laser treatments. He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the states of California and New York and has been in private practice in Beverly Hills, California since 1993.
Dr. Kopelson is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
