About Charlotte Carlson

Charlotte is a California State licensed and National Board Certified Physician Assistant who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
Charlotte completed her undergraduate training at UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology with College Honors and Cum Laude. She subsequently attended and graduated from Keck School of Medicine at USC with her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Practice. Charlotte has had 6 years of postgraduate medical training.
Charlotte has extensive training and experience in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer, general dermatology, cosmetic procedures, and lasers. Her medical dermatology experience includes treating various skin conditions such as melanoma and other skin cancers, psoriasis, and skin infections, to name a few. She performs biopsies and surgical excisions of skin cancers, cysts, and lipomas. In cosmetic dermatology, Charlotte is experienced in Botox and Dysport injections, dermal fillers such as JUVEDERM® and Restylane®, sclerotherapy for leg veins, and various lasers for the treatment of vascular lesions and skin resurfacing.
Physician assistants are board-certified, state licensed medical professionals. They perform the same function as medical doctors. This includes examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, writing prescriptions, and performing surgical procedures.

The nurse who took my info prior to the doctor arriving was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable. She asked me if my mom had the “type of cancer that klls you.” The appointment with the doctor was very rushed and did not address all of my concerns even though I asked if they could cover them all prior. Both the nurse and doctor laughed when I mentioned my current skincare routine. I was there for their help!
