Dr. Bendetson is a very kind person and would definitely recommend! Just be sure to come in with a list of prepared questions and concerned areas (as he is not very probing at all) and he will address them all.

Dr. Bendetson is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Tufts University as well as a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his Residency in Internal Medicine at one of the University of Massachusetts Medical Centers.
Subsequently, he completed a Dermatology Residency at a joint Tufts University/Boston University program. Dr. Bendetson furthered his education with a Fellowship in Mohs Surgery at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Dr. Bendetson is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

This review is about a visit I had last year with this Dr., not what is showing on ZocDoc (this July).
I went to this Dr. once and will never go back.... EVER. He is a nice guy... But, the reason I will never go back isn't the long wait or the excessive bills that I received after (which were not covered by insurance and this Dr never told me about them ahead of time), but because of pure sanitary reasons. After a long wait the Dr. showed up in the room with several blood spots on his blouse, did not wear gloves (until I told him to), and used ancient equipment to remove two small moles on my hand. Since that small procedure, one of the moles was back within two months and the other left a scar like those caused by burns because he literally burned the wound with a hot electric rod, and I received over $$$ of charges that were not approved by my BCBS PPO! Never again!
PS. After several phone calls and telling the story several times and threatening to call the board, I was able to have them remove those charges.

Dr. Bendetson was very friendly from the beginning, and it was clear that he wanted to get to know me as a person before getting right into the consultation. During the consultation itself, he listened closely and looked at photos I had taken of a suspicious-looking mole. Both the receptionist and Dr. Bendetson were understanding of my insurance situation.

The office feels a little sketchy. I was there for a routine check so I wasn't majorly concerned, but he barely looked me over- I felt like it was a waste of my time to go. He probably spent 30 seconds actually looking at my skin.

Didn't look at any of my skin, only ran his hand down my body -- Was too preoccupied with talking about my personal dating life. Felt a bumpy freckle, decided to remove it. Didn't explain what was happening. The scalpel hurt. He told me it didn't hurt. Left the office confused. Never heard back from the office. When I called, receptionist dug around in files for a few minutes and said it was fine. Will not be going here, nor recommending this doctor to anyone I like.
