Highly recommended. Efficient, friendly, knowlegeable along with a fantastic support staff. The office was clean and very busy but the staff were attentive and made sure things moved along.

I made my initial appointment online with Dr. Omohundro thru zocdoc and when I arrived, my appointment wasn't on the schedule. Nevertheless, the staff immediately put me in the system and in less than 30 minutes I was sitting in the exam room. Both the staff and Dr. Omohundro were warm and friendly! I would highly recommend them to everyone!!

Dr Omohundro is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in sports medicine with a special interest in knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. A native washingtonian he has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Dartmouth College. He completed medical school at Howard University. He completed his general surgery training at Washington Hospital Center and his orthopaedic training at Howard University Hospital under Dr. Charles Epps. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio under Dr. Frank Noyes at Cincinnati Sports Medicine. He practiced with the Cincinnati Sports Medicine Group before returning to Washington and establishing Capitol Sports Medicine. Through Capitol Sports Medicine he was entrusted with the care of many local athletes and scholastic athletes. He was the university physcian at Catholic University for 17 years as well as working with st John’s College High School (he is a graduate) and H D Woodson High School. He has special interest in cartilage repair and transplantation techniques. In march 2009 Capitol Sports Medicine merged into Metro Orthopedics and Sports Therapy – M.O.S.T – and will continue to operate under the most name.

I have been with Dr. Omohundro for years, following me for multiple ortho problems and a very difficult total knee replacement. I would not go to any other Ortho Surgeon. He is the BEST.

Dr. Omohundro was great! I went in to see him for an ankle sprain. He was very personable, asked lots of questions to make sure he under the context within the injury happened. He was very thorough in making sure any previous related history, in regards to health and injuries, was accounted for. He explained his diagnosis clearly and was concise. He made his recommendation and asked if I had any questions.
I did wait in the lobby for more than 10 minutes, however I was a new patient to his practice and I was filling out some paperwork.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Omohundro for any sports related injuries.
