My appointment with Rachel Chacko, PAC was excellent. I am a physician myself and I found her to be at once very attentive as a listener and a confident clinician who answered my concerns immediately and offered the right solution. I had a couple of spots on my face that were concerning to me given a history of skin cancer but she reassured me that they were benign and can be frozen off. She used liquid nitrogen to quickly remove them and then did an exam on the rest of my body. She biopsied one other lesion on my torso to be safe. Super quick and efficient, I was in and out in 15 minutes. I am very impressed. Thank you !

Rachel Chacko was born and brought up in the North East, living in New Jersey and Pennsylvania until the age of four. Then she moved to Toronto, Canada until the age of twelve. Rachel’s family then had the opportunity to relocate to Houston, Texas. In 2010, Rachel graduated with honors from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, earning a Bachelors in Biology and a minor in Theology. She then returned to her roots and moved back to Pennsylvania to purse her Masters to become a Physician Assistant. In 2012, Rachel graduated from Chatham University and moved back to Texas to begin her career. After working seven years in Dermatology in Houston, Rachel decided to move to Newport Beach to pursue her career in Orange County.
With almost ten years of dermatology under her belt, Rachel is passionate about her career and committed to her patients achieving healthy skin, hair and nails. Rachel was initially trained by a Mohs surgeon for an entire year before she started seeing patients on own. As a result , Rachel became an expert in performing full body exams and identifying pre cancerous lesions and skin cancers. Rachel then transitioned to a general dermatologist as a mentor for the next few years during which she learned to deal with chronic conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, lupus and other auto immune disease processes. One of Rachel’s favorite things to do is to help teenagers and adults with their acne. While dermatological conditions can be frustrating, Rachel strives to help the patient better cope and manage their symptoms, based on their individual needs. The world of dermatology is constantly evolving and a result, newer protocols and managements are always being developed. To keep up with these changes, Rachel attends yearly courses from the both the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
When she’s not at work, Rachel can be found in the kitchen cooking, binge watching Netflix or looking up the latest fashion show. Rachel prides herself in waking up happy and wanting to spark a joy in the people she meets each day. It is not out of the ordinary for Rachel to dress as she feels - bright colors, covered in sparkles and full of life!

I’m 48 years old and pride myself on my fitness level. But Father Time is catching me. This was my first dermatology appointment since I was in high school so I was a bit nervous. The front desk was super nice , the lobby was clean with Wi-Fi. The wait was quick. The staff that took me to my waiting room was nice and informative and Rachel Chacko, PAC - was amazing. Super knowledgeable and comforting. I had an unexpected great visit.
