Until the situation improves, MMC will be doing virtual visits for all our patients starting this week. This decision is taken for protecting the safety of all our patients and staff.
Virtual visits are totally HIPPA compliant and can be done at the comfort of your home. **They are covered by your insurance just like the way your regular visits are.** Doctors can also prescribe medicines during these visits. These virtual visits include seeing the provider so all your questions and concerns can be taken care of. We have signed up with two great platforms Doxy. me and Simple Visit to get the virtual experience to be seamless and without hassles of login etc.;. You will be getting a text with the virtual room link a few minutes before the appointment and you need to click on that link to be connected securely to the provider. It’s imperative to fill out the paperwork through our Phreesia sign-in process and pay your copay and balances or sign up for payment plans at least 10 minutes before the visit. Failing to do so may result in your appt cancellation. You will be sent a virtual link a few mins before the appointment, just click and wait for the provider in your virtual waiting room.

Fast and friendly staff. The woman I saw never actually touched my heels or even got close enough to take a look.
She listened and asked questions then told me I had plantar fasciitis.
That was my self diagnosis, but I wanted to be sure because of the recent extreme pain.

I enjoyed the experience of speaking with the doctor. She showed she genuinely cares and wants the best for her patients. She is thorough, respects honesty and wants you to ask questions so that she can provide better recommendations.
I will say though as a new patient be prepared to fill out extensive documentation either beforehand or upon arrival. If you're like me and not big on filling a lot of papers out then just mentally prep yourself to do so because there's no avoiding it. Good luck to you in this respect. Just know...I too have walked that mile and know your pain. ??
Jokes aside, overall I enjoyed the visit and would recommend giving them a try.

Doctor was very rude, and was quick to throw previous doctor under the bus about my previous visit where doctor heard a heart murmur (never heard before). The doctor heard my heart skipping beats and brushed it off as a result of “drinking too much caffeine/coffee”. I made it very clear that I do NOT drink coffee, soda, etc. only water. Doctor did not seem to believe me and dismissed it.

Annual visit is examination of head to toe in a primary care Dr, I think everyone knows that but while examining I said my back hurts, and she gave me medicine. After a month I got a bill for consultation for back pain. I called billing left voicemail no one called me for 3 weeks. I called again left message in patient portal and finally someone called, they said they can’t help me. I have to talk with Dr who is never available to talk. I paid my bill, and I am not going back in that place.
