Ram Dandillaya, MD, FACC, FCCP is a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, and internal medicine and has a clinical interest in preventative cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET).
Dr. Dandillaya’s recent research interests include issues related to percutaneous aortic valve replacement, the role of 64-slice computed tomography and coronary calcium in coronary artery disease, and the prevention of atherosclerotic heart disease. His research has been published in major scientific journals and he has present abstracts at many national meetings, including annual sessions of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. He is also actively involved in the teaching of fellows and residents at Cedars-Sinai.
In addition to being a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Dandillaya is a member of numerous societies, including the American Heart Association’s Council on Clinical Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Society of Vascular Ultrasound, the Los Angeles and American Society of Echocardiography and the American College of Physicians. In 2009, Dr. Dandillaya was elected to a two-year term as Vice President of the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association.

I am amazed by the amount of time Dr. Dandillaya spent with me. Never have I had a physical that was so attentive and inquisitive. While most physicians seem to overschedule their patients and then multiplex their time running from one room to another, this was the complete opposite experience. Even the wait to get in was less than 2 minutes after I finished filling out my paperwork (in my experience, most doctors seem to have a complete disregard for patients' time). The nursing staff and the phlebotomist were were very friendly, and thorough. Couldn't be more impressed!!!

I was a little hesitant at first (due to the wait) but once we met the Doctor, any apprehensions went away. He was nice, informative, and genuinely seemed interested in caring for my Mother. He ordered immediate testing, went over results of the ones he could (that were immediate) and gave me referrals for additional therapists/x-rays. All in all, we were very pleased.

Dr. Dandillaya did an excellent job of explaining all the tests that would need to be run for my annual physical. I also appreciated the extra time he took with me when he noticed something on one of the tests that required further testing. His staff is amazing! They treated me well, making me laugh and keeping me comfortable while taking blood. I barely felt the pinch.
If you're looking for a doctor who takes his time with you and shows genuine concern for your health and one who answers your questions throughly, I would highly recommend selecting Dr. Ram Dandillaya.
