He completed an internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he served as chief resident. Dr. Al Haj trained in rheumatology at Cooper University acquiring expertise in treating challenging and difficult to manage autoimmune rheumatological conditions. Dr. Al Haj is an instructor of musculoskeletal ultrasound with USSONAR and has lectured on the topic at various prestigious institutions including Cooper University Hospital, NYU Medical Center and Ohio State University. Dr. Al Haj practices general rheumatology, treating conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. He has special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and performs ultrasound-guided joint and tendon injections. Dr. Al Haj is the recipient of several “Top Doctors” awards and is well regarded by his peers. He believes in a balanced approach to treatment while striving for better outcomes.
