With two decades of practice experience as a primary care physician and internist, Dr. Rasik Patel has developed a strong patient-centered approach. Based out of his private practice in Folsom, he has quickly developed a reputation for going the extra mile to deliver excellent care – often spending extra time with patients when needed.
Naturally, Dr. Patel was drawn to medicine by a passion for helping others. His dedication is apparent, and patients truly appreciate his friendly demeanor and pace during visits. Dr. Patel is board-certified in internal medicine, making him highly-qualified to identify and treat a range of illnesses.
After beginning his training in medicine at the Medical College of Baroda, Dr. Patel completed his residency at Catholic Medical Center. From there, Dr. Patel went on to earn a highly sought-after fellowship at the University of California, Davis.
In his free time, Dr. Patel has developed a love for tennis and challenging his friends and family to games. He is fluent in English and Hindi, and happy to meet with patients in either language.

i like him, but I need a more thorough physical. He has treated me for specific medical problems, but I need someone who knows all of my conditions, and can consult as appropriate. He is pleasant, listens, explains, prescribes. I need another appointment for an analysis of my lab tests.

As someone who gets a bit anxious at a doctor's office, I felt very comfortable for 1st visit as new primary physician. Took time to discuss past health history and make me feel comfortable. I felt he was a good choice.

My only problem was the front desk person. He claimed that I was suppose to know to come 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. He almost turned me away, based on information that was never relayed to me.

Dr. Patel took a lot of time getting to know me as a new patient. He addressed all four of my concerns, not a nurse, but him! He asked all the questions and was kind and gentle.
My regular doc couldn't get me in today so I was happy with being able to book online and be seen right away. I had to drive all the way to folsom from Carmichael but it was worth it. I have officially switches physicians and would highly recommend Dr. Patel and team.

We recently relocated from Colorado and were looking for a new family MD. Dr. Patel is a great guy! Very polite and personable and professional. I arrived 15 mins. early and was escorted directly to the exam room. Before I ever finished the paperwork, he came in and helped me finish it while going through the exam. He was detailed and inquisitive of my previous medical issues.
