He attended Indiana University for undergraduate studies and graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry. In 1992, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree, graduating with honors from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Mathews completed his internship and residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. During this time, he was awarded the designation of Administrative Chief Resident.
He has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Pembroke Pines, FL since 1996. Now accepting new patients in the Pembroke Pines and surrounding areas.

I was super nervous, as going to the lady dr always give me anxiety, but the staff was very welcoming and encouraging. When Dr. Mathews first came in his demeanor seemed calm and gentle. The visit was quick, professional and he made me feel at ease which helped control my nerves. I feel that I may have found the doctor I want to deliver my future children. :)
