Regina Foran is an experienced, Board Certified Nurse Midwife who earned her Master’s degree from Shenandoah University in 2002. Her prior undergraduate education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from George Mason University. Her special area of interest is physiologic childbirth. She has attended hundreds of births in a wide variety of settings (home, birth center, and hospital) so she is used to being flexible. She welcomes the many questions pregnant women have and respects their decisions.
Like other CNM’s, in addition to prenatal care, Regina conducts annual well woman exams, offers contraceptive options, addresses menstrual problems, treats minor infections, and educates women about menopausal changes. She values the opportunity to meet with women of all ages about their healthcare needs.
Having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Regina got used to fitness early on and now tries to carve out time every day to be active. When time permits, she enjoys kayaking and dancing. She has two grown children and lives in Burke with her wonderfully supportive husband, Jack.
