“Appointment went great. However, the Physicians and Midwives team forgot to put in my LabCorp order at the end of my appointment, which ended up being a HUGE waist of my time. I followed their instructions, went back to the waiting room, checked in at the LabCorp kiosk and then waited for an hour to get my blood drawn only to find out that the Physicians and Midwives team didn't give them my order. I never got my bloodwork done because I had to leave and I was 30 minutes late to a work meeting. What should've been a 1 hour apt, turned into a 2 hour apt.”

Brenda earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from James Madison University. She worked as a critical care nurse for 11 years before becoming interested in Women’s Health after the birth of her first child. Brenda completed her final clinical rotations with Physicians & Midwives and joined the practice after graduating from Georgetown University’s midwifery program. She enjoys working with both high and low-risk women to achieve healthy pregnancies and births. Her clinical interests include evidence-based birth, natural family planning, breastfeeding, and postpartum depression.
Brenda lives with her husband and two daughters. When not working she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, and laying on the beach with a good book.

I was seen as soon as I was finished my paperwork, no wait time. Brenda was both personable and professional. She made me feel very comfortable and was easy to talk to. At all points she explained what she was doing and what to expect. I would definitely go to her again!

CNM Brenda was exactly how every nurse should be: warm and welcoming. She took the time to listen to me and then gave me her recommendation for course of action. She was clear and thorough. She seemed knowledgeable and didn't make me feel rushed at all.

Brenda was very professional yet personable. I came in to inquire about what pregnancy might be like and what type of environment might be best for me and she was open and honest about the process and gave me recommendations based on my needs.
