She has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology at UCI Medical School from 1989 -2009 and is on the active Medical Staff of St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Cobos served as chief of Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente for 8 years.
Dr. Cobos has served as President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and Member-at-Large of the Orange County Dermatology Society
Dr. Cobos has served as a Presidential Appointee to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Advisory committee on HIV and AIDS.
Dr. Cobos was chosen as the International Grand Prize Fraxel "Picture This" winner for best clinical results using the Fraxel re:pair and re:store laser systems.
Dr. Cobos has pioneered Cobos Pain Control ™ a new technique that has ELIMINATED the use of general anesthesia, heavy sedation or pain medications such as Demerol. She uses this technique during all of her Fraxel CO2 procedures

ZOcDoc is not updated with her current location. Dr. Cobos relocated to 475 S. State College Blvd more than two months ago. Paperwork and text alert showed old address on Sunny Crest. Very frustrating to arrive at Sunny Crest location only to discover they have moved. Staff could be more organized to ensure all communications are updated. I called to get new location,finally arrived but then had to wait about an hour to see doctor. Doctor was great.
