The physician's assistant was very good at diagnosing my issue quickly and had the best bedside manner as well as being clear & concise about thier treatment plan. I've really had some uncomfortable experiences in LA with dermatology specifically and this will now be my go-to dermatalogy office I had such a good experience. Highly recommend!”

About Jamie Cordoba
Jamie Cordoba PA-C, MPAS is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She was born and raised in Southern California and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from La Sierra University in Riverside. She then completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from USC. Jamie is certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has an active Physician Assistant license in the state of California.
Jamie has 16 years of medical and surgical dermatology experience. She has extensive training in procedures – including biopsies, excisions, MOHs closures as well as in medical dermatology. Jamie is adept at treating patients of all ages and approaches each patient individually, taking her time to discuss various options and answering questions. Wait time was a little long (saw provider 30 minutes after I was put in a room, was put in a room 5 minutes late). Provider was great. I'll likely be going back for further treatments, but I will schedule earlier in the day to hopefully avoid delays.

Dr. Jamie Cordoba was so personable and sweet. I am really nervous about needles and expressed that to her before a small procedure. Not only was she extremely understanding of that, she talked to me throughout the entire process to distract me. The procedure took less than 5 minutes and it was done! So grateful for a smooth and easy appointment despite how scared I was!

I had a very disappointing experience at this dermatology clinic. My appointment was at 4:00 PM, and I left work early to be on time, but I waited 45 minutes to be seen—while other patients were taken in right away.
I was first briefly seen by a nurse, then by a nurse practitioner who didn’t examine my skin, stayed across the room, and asked only a couple of basic questions. There was no discussion about my diet, skincare routine, or acne triggers. She quickly prescribed a topical treatment with little explanation, and when I asked about antibiotics, she said she could prescribe it “if I want.”
No information was given about follow-up care or prevention, and when asked, the provider said I could call if I wanted another appointment, but she didn’t think I’d need one. It’s been over a month, and my acne hasn’t improved. I left feeling dismissed and unsupported. I expected a thorough consultation and left with none

I had a very good experience with Metropolis. I arrived on time for my appointment, was brought back for my appointment on time. I shared my issues and felt like I was listened to and full notes were taken. When I met with the PA, the diagnosis was made fairly quickly, but I felt it was very informed and confident. Other offices I've visited before I had to wait a long time and felt rushed/not listened to/understood when in the appt, so this was a welcome change and great experience. Would recommend!

The office is a bit hard to find and the parking is a whole thing, so give yourself at least 20 minutes to find where you’re supposed to go before your appt!

Jamie was so wonderful to work with! She listened to my concerns with attention and she was so understanding. I felt safe speaking to her about my vulnerabilities and anxieties. She helped with my medical concerns and she even assisted with cosmetic concerns as well. Since my first appointment with Jamie, I have been seeing her regularly every few months to help with PRP and my skin care routines.
