Dr. Mahrou specializes in Pain Management, and has a background in Surgery, and Anesthesiology. He holds board certifications in both Anesthesiology & pain management; and he is actively involved in state and national societies of interventional Pain management as well as regional Anesthesia. After completing his surgical training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, he successfully finished his residency in Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care at UCLA Medical Center. Subsequently he completed a fellowship in Pain Management in UCLA in conjunction with the UCLA Comprehensive Spine Center. After moving to Orange County, he co-founded Pain Care Providers with Dr. Amir Rafizad. Their goal is to present the best in pain management to their patients and offer individualized treatment plans that not only control pain, but improve function as well as quality of life. Dr. Mahrou continues to teach residents and fellows from UCLA through his involvement as a UCLA Assistant Clinical professor and a part time faculty at the VA Health Care System in West Los Angeles.
