Dr. Davis is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been practicing Ophthalmology on Long Island since 1991. He earned a B.A. from University of Pennsylvania in 1982 and an M.D. from Thomas Jefferson University in 1986. After a year of general surgery, he became the Director of the Emergency Room at Inter-Community Memorial Hospital in Newfane, New York where he was responsible for organizing the Emergency Room and treating emergency patients. He then completed a residency at SUNY at Buffalo where he distinguished himself and was appointed Chief Resident.
In 1991 he joined the Huntington Medical Group where he founded the department of Ophthalmology. His vision of what a practice could be led to the opening of Precision Eye Care in May of 2000. The new practice utilizes cutting edge technology in a totally paperless environment to provide the patient with the best eye care available. Dr. Davis has been performing the most advanced cataract and vision correction surgery since coming to Long Island. Dr. Davis’ excellent results with cataract surgery draw patients from all over the Northeast. Besides cataract surgery, Dr. Davis treats many patients for glaucoma and dry eye and has been instrumental in bringing the modality of IPL to New York for the treatment of dry eye.
Dr. Davis, his wife and 2 children live in Centerport and are an active part of the community. He has surgical privileges at Syosset Hospital as well as Island Eye Surgicenter. He is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Ophthalmology Societies as well as The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
