About Dr. Diana Antonio
Dr. Diana G. Antonio received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry/Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. She continued her optometric training by earning Honors in optometric externships within her fields of study. During that time, she developed a special interest in vision therapy and pediatrics, ophthalmic trauma and inflammation, in addition to pharmaceutical management of various ocular diseases. She is currently licensed in both oral and topical pharmaceutical agents and minor surgical procedures associated with the eye.
Dr. Antonio started to care for patients in the tri-state community at a very young age. Being a native of Brooklyn, NY, she recalls successfully completing a very competitive Health Careers Program in Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, which involved volunteering a great deal of time in Lutheran Hospital. She then continued her fascination with healthcare by triumphantly accomplishing a dual major education in Biology and English received from Hunter College in Manhattan, NY. While in school, she started volunteering in New York Eye and Ear Infirmary to gain insightful experience, which in turn led to her career choice.
Upon graduating, Dr. Antonio returned to Brooklyn, NY and began her career as head optometrist in General Vision Services. She successfully implemented medical optometric management into a then simple optical establishment and gained the respect and trust of her patients. It is with great warmth and excitement that she now joins RVC Optometric Associates and wishes to continue her passion in life by sharing her optometric experiences.
