About Dr. Jeffrey Baruch
Dr. Baruch has been in practice for 28 years, with the last 26 years at his solo practice in West Hempstead, N.Y. He is a graduate of the State University of New York, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY Optometric. Dr. Baruch is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association, and is both a member and supporter of the West Hempstead Civic Association. His practice provides family eye care and contact lens fittings and dispensing, including bifocal contact lenses. The office features an attractive boutique area where a full line of designer and contemporary glasses and sunglasses are artfully displayed, along with a separate section designed specifically to cater to children's glasses and sunglasses. Additionally, Dr. Baruch is licensed to diagnose and treat ocular diseases. He currently serves as the attending optometrist at North Shore LIJ's Franklin Hospital surgery department and co-manages ocular surgeries and LASIK with Long Island's top ophthalmologic surgeons. Dr. Baruch's caring chairside manner and friendly disposition have helped expand his practice through patient referrals and recommendations.
