Although the managers of the eye office were wonderful and extremely helpful I will never go back to see this doctor. I was fitted for contacts and as I have sever astigmatism instead of normal contacts, the doctor recommended I try half hard half permeable contacts. Being a first time contact wearer, needless to say I had a very difficult time getting them in. Instead of giving helpful tips or encouragement Dr. Schrenzel was standing over my shoulder huffing and puffing and saying it shouldnt be this difficult and getting exasperated when I couldn't get them in. I eventually had to tell him to leave me alone as his frustration was making me even more nervous about putting something hard and foreign into my eye in a completely different way from what everyone told me I would be doing. For reference a half permeable lens has to be filled to the brim with eye solution and inserted into the precise middle of the eye with your head facing downward- a near impossible feat for a first time contact wearer. His behavior towards me was demeaning and totally unnecessary so I would NOT recommend him nor will I return to be treated so condescendingly.
