Different than anticipated. Initially I thought the doctor would help fix the problem instead, he helped to develop more answers of how the problem developed, how I could manage it and ways I could effect change I realize I cannot change anyone else. Rather, I can learn to manage difficult people and work toward changes me responses. Thank you

I felt comfortable in the office. The environment was professional yet relaxed. The therapist displayed an interest in my problem, helped me identify symptoms and was instrumental in developing insight regarding what I could cope and manage with the variables at hand. We were able to identify short and long term goals to help me make positive change.

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of California. PSY 9478.I have been in practice for over 20 years. I am married and have two grown children and two grandson. I matriculated from California Graduate Institute in 1984 with a doctoral degree, Ph.D. I completed my undergraduate work at Chapman College. Over the past 20 years I have worked at the St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Orange, Ca. I am closely connected, and receive referrals, with the physicians in this group as well as other St. Joseph’s physicians in other locations through -out Orange County. I was the Clinical Directory of Psychological Services for the Yorba Park Medical Group, Orange, Ca, from 1992 to 2000. I became a Diplomat Fellow issued by the International College of Prescribing Psychologist in 1996. This honor represents 325 hours of course work aimed at eventually authorizing psychologist to prescribe Psychiatric Medications. This has not been authorized in California and I cannot prescribe medications. Over the past 10 years I have also supervised students pursuing doctoral and masters degrees in psychology and counseling. I find this to be a rewarding experience and look forward to expanding this area of my practice.
