April Lamb, LMFT

April Lamb, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I work with teens and young adults (and us "fully formed" adults!) who are trying to figure themselves out—who they are, how they relate to others, and why certain patterns keep showing up in their lives.?If you’ve been through something tough (or are in the middle of it), therapy can be a space to talk about it openly without shame. I believe that when you’re able to name what’s really going on, you can start to feel more confident in who you are and make choices that actually feel right for you. My approach My approach is personalized to each client, grounded in my understanding of human development and informed by therapeutic frameworks such as attachment-based therapy, Family Systems Theory, and parts work. I also draw from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. In our work, I focus less on the specific content of your concerns and more on the underlying processes at play. For example, with anxiety, we don’t need to dissect every worry—rather, we explore how the anxiety functions and presents for you. I especially love working with depressive symptoms, self-criticism, anxiety, codependency, and dysfunctional family dynamics. My focus I’m passionate about working with people navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, low self-esteem, and patterns like people-pleasing or difficulty setting boundaries. My goal is to help you feel more empowered and less reactive—both to what’s happening around you and within you. Together, we’ll challenge harmful beliefs, cultivate self-acceptance, and build resilience so you can develop a more authentic sense of self.
