The doctor was highly knowledgeable and very thorough. Nice too. The medical center isn't fancy but don't be fooled - the customer service and professionalism is outstanding. The center has a women's health division and psychiatric providers on site for additional medical needs.

Dr. Robert Heyding joined the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in 2016.
A graduate of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Heyding went on to train in primary care internal medicine at NYU. He later completed Palliative Care and Preventive Medicine fellowships and also obtained a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Michigan. He is well versed in all aspects of primary care.
His goal is to provide patient-centered care by emphasizing communication and partnership in medical decision making. Dr. Heyding is a native Canadian, now happily living in Brooklyn with his wife and children.

First the staff was very nice to me & helped threw my first time visit with no problem i was so amazed. & then meeting robert heyding was great. Robert helped me threw an injury i had at work & listened to my whole situation on how the injury accured. We got a physical done with no problem & made sure he took down all my information. Im very happy robert heyding is my new primary doctor now & i can see that I'm in good hands now.

Everyone was really patient and understanding, they didn't try to rush you out the office like other doctor offices' and they actually care about your issues, I was shocked when they asked was there any other issues or concerns that were bothering me because I never get asked that and on top of that everything is quick and simple ,your in and out in less than 30 min to an hour. Overall my experience here was really great and will be HIGHLY recommended. THANK YOU DR. HEYDING

Generally very welcoming and open to my concerns. Dr. Heyding answered all of my questions fully. The staff is very helpful in explaining the whole process as a new patient.
