Do NOT go to this doctor or office practice unless you're desperate. It look over 2 hours to see the doctor and they shuffle you back and forth from room to room during that time. I went for vertigo/sinus infection andafter 2 hours the doctor sent me to someone else who couldn't actually asses my vertigo at that time and needed to reschedule my tests for another day. (Which I just cancelled- as I will not go back) Go anywhere else for more efficient help!

First time seeing him for consultation so can't really say my experience is official but so far so good. He spent more time with me than my waiting time so that's a good plus.

Wait time is too long. Waited 40+min after my appointment time to see doctor. Had to alert staff at the front to finally get ball rolling. Then waited in a second waiting room for a hearing test after seeing doc for10 min. Total time with doctor or medical staff = 15min. Total wait time = 1:15. He is a fairly curt and sarcastic guy and a bit rough in how he treats patients (began painfully cleaning my ear with little forewarning) . If you are looking for a more personal touch, he is not for you. Time will tell whether he is good technically. Plus side was for the most part staff were friendly and professional despite being short handed. Medical staff doing the hearing test were lovely.

Blunt, effective, no-nonsense but certainly not a jerk.
He solved my problem quickly and thoroughly and threw in a hearing test, just to be sure.
He also suggested that I come back in six months for a follow-up. I definitely will.

I am in for severe congestion and saw the doctor three times, the first time he prescribed a nasal spray, it didn't work second time a round of steroids, it didn't work and the last time he told me we've triedalmost everything and it doesn't seem that bad so we will give you the same spray as before (the one that didn't work) and to come back in two months. I probably won't be back to see him, especially after he told me that most New Yokers have some type of congestion.

Dr. Lerch was not very interested in hearing the full story or explaining his treatment. After I asked a question he just bluntly said: Do you want to hear again? He wanted to put me on a treatment that I alreadyreceived twice within a month. He did not present a different option. It was a take it or leave it. I am a RN. After I mentioned that his bedside manner got better. Having worked with a lot of doctors I think he was highly unprofessional and not open for questions. Very disappointing.

Visited Dr. Leach twice in four months for the same problem and symptoms. Rather than running any tests or reevaluating his initial diagnosis told me just to put petroleum jelly in my nose more often. Went for another opinion. That drimmediately concluded I had a nasal staph infection and ordered tests to confirm. Made me realize how detached Dr Lerch is.

How this man got his medical license is an absolute mystery to me. Was treating three patients simultaneously going from room to room like a circus juggler. Surprised he can keep track of his patients much less diagnose them. Stay awayfrom this man at all costs. In fairness, the girl at the front desk was very nice..

Did not feel enough personal interest. Had assistant do test and when I came back he was reading non-medical magazine and seemed uncomfortable and just rescheduled me for another test the following week---test equipment was not in office thatday. It seemed that everyone wanted to get home quickly that day.

Dr Lerch was superb. I'm quite squeamish about ears but he was very patient and effective. I appreciated his kindness and professionalism. Further, he provided me with solid advice on maintaining healthy ears. It's good to know I've found such an ENT specialist in Manhattan and highly recommend him.

Came in with what felt like strep. Wait was tolerable but once the doctor made himself available gave off a very nonchalant vibe -- as if going through the motions and saying "he wasn't surprised I had a viral infection sincethis was NYC." Really? No kidding. Friendlier doctors out there!

Dr. Lerch was great - I made a same-day appointment, he saw me within 15 minutes of arriving at his office, and he fixed a hearing problem I'd been having for a week! I would 100% return to him, and strongly recommend him to anyone needing an ENT doc.

I didn't like Dr. Lerch. He may well know his specialty, but I didn't care for his bedside manner. He made me feel stupid for being scared, but didn't help me understand why there was no reason to be! It wasa very old-fashioned experience. Like "I am the doctor and know everything. You are the patient, and regardless of all the time you have spent in your body, you know nothing about how it should feel." (obviously not a quote) Luckily, a GP helped me out and kindly explained what was going on in my throat.
