Dr. Posts is amazing! He is really passionate about what he does and is also very knowledgeable. I love how he can make a eye exam so fun! He will educate you about your eyes aND also tell you a little about himself. I highly recommend to check him out! You won't regret it

Dr. Robert Pfost has been practicing for 42 years, having graduated from UC Berkeley in 1971. He practiced in Hayward for a few years and after traveling a bit started this practice with Dr Ferd Elvin in 1978. He was located on Lakeshore Ave until about 1986 and moved to Grand Ave then. He enjoys all phases of Optometry having received special education in pharmaceutical and therapeutic drugs. He also does laser surgery co-management with the best MDs. He especially enjoys fitting contact lenses. The practice has maintained interest in using the newest forms of examining equipment and lens edging machinery, which allows for fast turnarounds in making glasses. Rigid contacts are able to be replaced in one day, soft lenses can often be replaced immediately, or in one day. The Doctor’s interests include restoring old houses, cars, and boats. He likes to ride his motorcycle when the weather allows.

I got there early and since it was mid day he was able to see me immediately. He took the time to explain everything about my eyes to me (I've been wearing glasses for over ten years and no one has ever explained the actual anatomy of my vision problems to me) which I really appreciated and enjoyed. He has invested in state of the art equipment for evaluation and examination and it is really nice. The prices are fantastic and they take lots of insurance plans (I have two and by manipulating them both I was able to get two pairs of prescription glasses at a really great price.
