He went on to obtain his Doctorate degree in Psychology at the University of Madrid, Spain. Dr. Zarate continues his postdoctoral studies at the UCLA Department of Psychology, specializing in schizophrenia and dual diagnosis. He has had significant accomplishments in leading the research for Raise Program, Individual Placement and Support Program, Dual Diagnosis Program, and Clinical Rater Program. He is also fluent in Spanish, and is greatly admired in the community.
