I graduated from Tristate College of Acupuncture in 1993, with training in TCM style, Japanese style under Kiiko Matsumoto, and in the Acupuncture Physical Medicine style of Mark Seem. I studied Chinese Herbal Medicine with Ted Kaptchuk O.M.D. author of The Web That Has No Weaver.
I’ve been a Diplomate of the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine ( NCCAOM ) since 1993
Research has shown that the reason Americans are some of the sickest people on the planet is due to the Standard American Diet (SAD). Dietary causes of inflammation put a burden on all systems in the body: The endocrine, digestive, cardiovascular, detoxification, and immune systems, to name some.
Many are surprised to know that preventing and reversing disease is in their own power and in the power of plants. The Whole Food Plant Based way of eating has a very long research record behind it as a healthful way to eat for all the systems mentioned above. It has been proven to reduce inflammation and even reverse blocked coronary arteries. *
In my 28 years of practice in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, I have counseled my patients in dietary modification and seen impressive results in how they feel after making simple changes. As we work together with their doctor, we see symptoms reduce, medication needs change and we track bloodwork over a span of 90 days. Incredibly, labs often normalize in that period of time.
