Doctor was extremely polite, nice, very helpful. Saw me right away, would definitely come back for another check up. Highly recommend this place!

Dr. Russell Scott Kateman O.D. attended Queens College from 1970-1974 where he received his BA in psychology. Next he attended The New England College of optometry, where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. He graduated with honors in 1978. Additionally Dr Kateman received a full scholarship to study and work at The prestigious Hadassah Hospital in Israel.
Dr. Kateman worked at regional optical chains, for ophthalmologists and in private practice.
Dr. Kateman prefers to work in private practices so he can spend more time for quality eye examinations.This allows a more thorough exam and gives Dr. Kateman a chance to get to know his patients.Dr. Russell Scott Kateman’s background in psychology makes him a master of listening to his patients. His 30 years of fitting contact lenses makes difficult fits easy.
Dr. Kateman enjoys many other activities outside optometry. He is an avid attendee of the theater, world traveler and racquetball ball player.

Dr. Kateman appeared rushed and did not spend a good amount of time with me. I had several questions about my vision that I wanted to discuss but he was only interested in getting me in an out of the office.
