Dr. Alexandra Scherk is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care.
She earned her Bachelor of Science at The Pennsylvania State University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston.
During her doctoral training, Dr. Scherk was inducted into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society in recognition of her academic excellence.
Dr. Alexandra Scherk is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry (ABO), distinctions that reflect her commitment to the highest standards of clinical excellence, professional achievement, and lifelong learning.
Dr. Scherk completed a specialized residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care at BronxCare Health System, where she received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of complex ocular conditions.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Scherk! She was incredibly patient and took the time to help me with contacts, making the whole process feel easy and stress-free. She has such a wonderful bedside manner and a warm, personable personality that immediately puts you at ease. I never felt rushed, and she genuinely listened to my questions and concerns. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an eye doctor who is both knowledgeable and truly caring!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Alexandra Scherk and would highly recommend her and the practice to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, thorough and caring optometrist.
I have always left my appointment feeling that Dr. Scherk took the time to listen to my concerns, and was incredibly thorough and I never felt rushed. She always explains what she is doing during the exam. What impressed me the most was the level of care and attention to detail. Dr. Scherk was not only focused on my vision, but took a comprehensive approach to my overall eye health.
Dr. Scherk genuinely cares about her patients. I am very grateful for the excellent care I have received and would not hesitate to recommend this practice to family and friends!!

I highly recommend Dr. Alexandra Schwark. I have been seeing her for my annual eye exams for the past 6–7 years, and she has consistently provided exceptional care.
Dr. Schwark is extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. She takes her time during each exam, explains everything clearly, and always makes me feel comfortable and well cared for.
Beyond being an excellent eye doctor, she is warm and personable. I genuinely enjoy my appointments with her and always look forward to our yearly visits. After so many years of consistently wonderful experiences, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Schwark to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring eye doctor.
