The zocdoc page shows the doctor is in network. The office called and said that insurance for network checks out.
On arrival the office makes you fill forms and sign a boatload of paperwork calling it standard.
Also make you give a urine sample !!! For bachache?? ( unnecessary billing??)
Post appointment doctor says i am out of network and demands money before leaving. On showing the zocdoc app he says that the app is wrong. Then points to the documents i was made to sign and says that i agreed that you signed and should be reading each page. The doctor himself comes and schools and yells demanding payment along with the office staff.
Post conversations with zocdoc they say payments is between doctor and patient and i confirm with my insurance on details.
Really unprofessional conduct by doctor and staff and unpleasant and misleading .
My insurance doesn’t ask to pay upfront. On calling insurance they say he is in network!! Waiting for bill now but this is not what i seeked.

Dr Shah is a good doctor. He is attentive and provides information as needed. He was able to help me when I saw him. However, I can’t give full 5 stars because his staff makes it difficult to get a hold of him. I left a message for him to call me and he never got it. I left a message regarding a refill of a prescription and they left me a voicemail 1.5 weeks later. While Dr Shah himself is great, his staffing needs a boost.

The wait time was about a half hour past the appointment time but, you can expect that with any type of doctor, especially a specialist. Dr.Shah was very thorough when explaining the steps to figuring out my problems and was helpful with recommending Drs. to further see. Highly recommend him .
