Dr. Sally Mravcak is a graduate of Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Somerset Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship in Women's Health at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and training in Medical Acupuncture at Helm's Medical Institute. She is board certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Mravcak began her career working in a Federally Qualified Health Center, spending eight years caring for uninsured and under-insured people in New Jersey. She was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and remains active in providing education to medical students. Prior to joining Vanguard, Dr. Mravcak practiced full time in a Women's Health Center, providing comprehensive primary care, office gynecology, and acupuncture.
Dr. Mravcak believes in providing evidence based whole person care that takes into account the role of body, mind, and science in creating wellness. Throughout her career she has been involved in committees dedicated to quality improvement and programs aimed at helping people make positive behavioral change.
When she's not in the office at Jersey City, you might find her on a biking trail, taking in some live music, or spending the day at the beach with her spouse and two daughters.

After scheduling an appointment more than a month in advance because that was the only one available, I arrive and am told my insurance card is not accepted. Although I had sent them the card previously.

An extremely pleasant and professional first visit with Dr. Mravcak, and all of her staff. I spent what I considered an extensive amount of time with her, and I never felt like I was being rushed to see another patient. I've already recommended her to my partner and would recommend her to any other friends looking for a PCP in Jersey City. I especially appreciated how obviously knowledgeable and casual she was about queer health concerns.
