My practice focuses primarily on helping patients address relationship issues. Difficulties in relationships often lead to depression, loneliness, anxiety, and the feeling of being "stuck."
My approach is practical and present-focused yet grounded in an understanding of the ways our past experiences may have contributed to our present difficulties. I help patients to explore and work through what gets in the way of them developing the kind of intimate relationships they desire.
I am a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an AASECT certified Sex Therapist. In addition, I have completed Advanced Training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy which research has demonstrated to be the most effective treatment for distressed couples.
