zocdoc's s/w did not provide the comments/remarks that I indicated on the zocdoc webpage when I made the appointment. For example, the front office did not know that it was a follow-up visit and the doctor did not know that I requested shots for both knees. If she had, the medicine could have been obtained in time for my visit thus saving me one extra visit for the treatment cycle.

Dr. Iannotti is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. A native of Long Island, she went to Syosset High School and received her undergraduate education at Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. She attended Cornell University Medical College, completed her orthopedic residency training at Tufts University Orthopaedic Residency in Boston, and trained in a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. A portion of her chief residency was spent specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. Dr. Iannotti joined the practice of North Shore Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Smithtown in 2001.
In addition to practicing general orthopedics, Dr. Iannotti specializes in arthroscopic procedures of shoulders, knees, and ankles. She received specialized fellowship training in sports medicine where she participated in the care of many high school and collegiate athletes. She has published several book chapters on arthroscopic techniques and is an active member of the Arthroscopy Associate of North America, the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Iannotti is known by her patients for attentiveness and compassion. Patients have stated that they will come from afar to see her because they trust her judgment and she makes them feel at ease. Her goal is to provide individualized patient care and fulfill each patients' specific needs.

Dr. Iannotti is an approachable, down to earth physician. I didn't feel flustered or intimidated like I have felt with some other doctors. The cortisone shots kicked in the next day and I felt relief from my pain for the first time in a long time. I feel confident that Dr. Iannotti will listen to my needs regarding a treatment plan and will work with me to find the best possible care plan. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Iannotti to others.

Very impressed with my office visit with Dr. Iannotti. I feel she listened to my concerns and questions and addressed them 100%. She explained the course of treatment that she felt was necessary but also made me aware of other options available. She has a wonderful bedside manner and unlike other Doctors, if you have a question or need something explained she does not "talk down" to you or make you feel less than because you don't have the same knowledge that she has. I walked out of the visit feeling more satisfied and happy that I made the appointment than I have with the majority medical providers I have went to lately. The office was clean and neat and I found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Iannotti and I will definitely be going back.
