Behrens Award in recognition of his leadership and clinical accomplishments. Dr. Soussou subsequently completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he received advanced training in the arthroscopic and open treatment of complex sports-related injuries. During his fellowship, he served as an Assistant Team Physician for the New York Jets and provided medical coverage at the NFL Scouting Combine, as well as for high school football and hockey programs. His experience caring for athletes has included injury evaluation, surgical and non-surgical treatment, game-day coverage, and return-to-play planning. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Soussou has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, with his research presented at national and international meetings.
