With over two decades of experience, Dr. Sanna Kalika began her medical journey by earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Kalika is a board-certified internal medicine physician with active licenses in multiple states. I am a board-certified internist with a strong interest in and emphasis on a holistic, functional approach to wellness and healing. After years of practicing conventional medicine-rushing from patient to patient and increasing prescriptions for diabetes, hypertension, anxiety, and other common ailments-I found myself questioning why, despite advances in medicine, technology, and pharmacology, chronic illnesses such as obesity, digestive issues, autoimmune diseases, hormonal and mood imbalances, and allergies continue to rise, often affecting people at younger ages.
Are we truly addressing health problems at their core by prescribing more medications? I believe the answers lie in our hectic, stressful lifestyles, lack of restorative sleep, and toxin-ridden air, food, and water. With proper education, patience, and gentle guidance on necessary lifestyle improvements and a variety of treatment interventions-alternative as well as conventional when needed-we can begin to undo the damage and nurture our bodies and minds back to health.
I am convinced that the best way to tackle any ailment is through a partnership between doctor and patient, where both actively participate in decision-making.

I waited for an hour and 20 minutes before I was even seen. There didnt seem to be a benefit for even making an appointment. When the doctor finally arrived she said to me rudely " so you're feeling better since you woke up this morning huh? When I stated a little bit and also let her know that I have also been here for over an hour, the doctor coldly stated that maybe I should stay here for a few hours and then I'll feel fine. Extremely rude.
